Periods Not Coming - My Gf Had Periods Date 3 Oct But She Is Not

My gf had periods date 3 Oct but she is not having her periods. Did a pregnancy test which came out to be negative... What can be the possible reason for it ? How can she confirm that she is not pregnant ?
