Periods irregular
My wife gave birth to a baby girl 15 months ago.But till today there is no sign of periods coming .she is on regular breast feeding to the baby. But my concerned is her stomach size has grown from 32 inches to 38 inches in the last one month..I want to know if there is some problem ....we had a pregnancy blood test and it is negative..

Hi there , I understand your concern & will explain you what can be possible reason behind it.
If the patient is breast feeding the baby then there is high prolactin level in the blood & High prolactin causes stoppage of regular menstrual cycle. As soon as patient stops breast feeding , her cycle will return unless she is pregnant or any other disease prevents it . As her pregnancy blood test is negative , it rules out pregnancy & you can be sure about it.
Second thing what you have noticed about her stomach size is nothing but can be because of post-pregnancy weight gain. So she can start doing exercises ( Aerobic ) along with dietary modifications . I think this should take care of it.
