Antibiotics or any other medications can only provide temporary symptomatic relief and objective cause of the problem has to be determined so that it can be eliminated so that your symptoms are alleviated permanently. Prognosis of periodontitis depends upon the current stage of the disease because whatever damage has happened till now is Irreversible and maintenance therapy is the most important approach.
