Period after taking period delaying med

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I usually have my periods for 4-5 days, not more than that. This time I took Regesterone to postpone my period and I'm having spotting/bleeding even on the 6th day which is very unusual. So is it a side effect of the Regesterone medicine I took to delay the period?
