Perianal abscess surgery

Asked for Male, 26 Years

I have underwent perianal abscess surgery on 30-nov. I have been going for wound dressing since 8days, i can still see pus discharge and I feel a little pain after bowel movement, having livoluk for softener and doing sitz bath thrice a day. How long I need wound dressing and how long it will take for complete healing? When can I go back to my routine work? I am in IT field. Pls.suggest.

Hello well the time for healing depends on the extent to which the abscess had developed or the depth of it...I would suggest you continue the dressings and te sitz bath...go fur follow up with the surgeon....thank you.. generally it ranges from 3-4 weeks...thanks
