Hello
At 6 months, it is common for stool frequency to reduce, especially after starting solids like rice flour and formula. If the baby is active, feeding well, passing gas, and has no vomiting or abdominal distension, this short-term constipation is likely due to dietary change and is not worrisome.
You can try:
Giving small sips of cooled boiled water 2–3 times a day.
Offering fruit puree like stewed apple or pear if baby is already on solids.
Gentle tummy massage and bicycle leg movements to relieve gas and stimulate bowels.
Next Steps
Monitor for red flags like persistent vomiting, swollen belly, blood in stools, or baby not feeding well — if any of these occur, consult your pediatrician immediately.
If no poop for more than 3 days, or baby becomes uncomfortable, do follow up with a pediatrician.
Health Tips
Avoid giving too much rice flour as it may cause constipation. Introduce new foods one at a time and continue breastfeeding frequently. Give time for baby’s digestion to adjust to new feeds.

Hello,
Since the age of the baby is 6 months, it time to start complementary feeding ( weaning food) which are rich in fibre and other nutrients. Do not worry, this is common in small infants who have difficulty on addition to semi solid food.( On starting complementary feeds)
First you can try, gentle massage on tummy in clockwise direction and also bicycle leg movements to help with the gas . Also keep the baby hydrated.

It’s quite normal for some babies to go 1–3 days without passing stool, especially after starting formula or solids. As long as the baby is comfortable, feeding well, and passing urine and gas, there is no need to worry.
Next Steps
If the baby still doesn’t pass stool in a day or two, or shows any signs of discomfort, consult again
