Height is determined by genetic and environmental factors. Growth hormone therapy can be started as early as 2 years of age provided a deficiency of growth hormone is established. Your son possibly has short stature but a thorough evaluation by Endocrinologist is suggested to find all possible factors and identification of growth hormone deficiency. If present treatment has to be started on priority basis. Delay in treatment causes permanent height loss. You must not wait.
