Pdw increased since a year
Hello,
My mother is 58 yr old. She is suffering from osteoporosis. Recently, her knee pain has increased. She gets fever and stomach upset frequently.
Her pdw (platelet distribution width) is higher since a year. It was 19.6 last year, and 21 this year. Is this related to osteoporosis, or can she be having other problem??
What shud we do? Any other tests to be done?

If she has osteoporosis then go for dexa scan to see for the bone strength..
Based on that can start treatment If required.
