I am diagnosed with pcos and hypothyroidism by endocrinologist in mar 2017 by
testosterone level with 61.5 kg weight. I was started on thyronorm 25, pills and metformin, with low carb diet plan. i had to reduce 6 kg weight. initially i was ok with it, but as metformin dosage increased, it went bad for me. Although I was 57 kg then, I had literally no apetite, burped whole day, cant even walk, even after taking antacids. i consulted a gen physician. she adviced to stop exerting my body, reduced metformin to 500 mg, gave
b12 and d supplements. after 2 months, all my tests (
amh,fh,
lh,
tsh) came normal and i felt fit, but due to weakness issues, i had again put on weight and was 60 kg. so my endocrinologist asked me to take metformin 1500 mg again and reduce my weight to 55 kg, if i want to concieve. my question is, if metformin doesnt suit me, cant i take it less, and instead focus on diet and exercise to reduce weight?
