Hi. PCOS is caused by erratic lifestyle, obesity, stress. So reduce all three. Consult a Gynaec and get an Ultrasonography done. If still found to have Pcod and also symptoms of PCOS are there. Take Yasmin for 21days and stop for seven days and again take Yasmin for 21days. Take this at least for six cycles. Also take Metformin 750mg for a month or so. Get a repeat ultrasonography done to check on PCOS.

PCOD is not a disease but a different body type. It is a trait which usually activates the hormonal imbalance causing disturbance in ovulation resulting in irregular periods. The periods will be regular until the tablets are taken. Please check on her weight coz, it’s one of the primary reasons that aggravate PCOD. Weight reduction can help to keep them somewhat regular (not necessarily in a monthly pattern) Also periods are directly related to reproduction. If you are not ready for a child, why be adamant that they should come monthly. Please find other methods apart from hormonal treatment to deal with it.
