Pcod irregular period
My daughter gets period only after taking meprete. She waits for her periods till 50 th day of her periods. Since it doesn't come, she takes meprete and her period comes in next 1 week. This is continuing. We are afraid to stop meprete and wait as she will bleed heavily if her period exceeds 2 months. Even now she bleeds for 7 to 8 days. I am afraid of making her take meprete regularly. She is in hostel and takes hostel food. Goes for walk regularly. She couldn't do another physical activity. Will taking meprete regularly affect her. She is more than 1500 miles away from home. What I can do? She doesn't take junk food. I dont know how long will be able to continue taking meprete like this. Pls suggest. I'm very much worried.

Meprate is a safe medicine and may be taken on a regular basis; it has no long term side effects
Next Steps
however the cause of irregular periods needs to be evaluated and definitive treatment must be started
Health Tips
having prolonged absence of periods is more harmful in long term than taking meprate. ensure timely cycles even if medicines are needed
