Dry patches are formed on penis head which automatically peels after after a couple of days and again new patch forms. There is no itching problem due to this. Also there is no liquid discharge from patches .
Previously I had used Soframycin cream and Candid- B cream. There was some improvement with candid B cream but once it is discontinued, problem again arises.
Recently , I took fluconazole 150 after recommendation from medical store but same was also not beneficial. Kindly advise.

Based on your descriptionârecurrent dry patches on the glans that peel off, minimal redness, no discharge, and absence of itchingâthis appears less likely to be an active fungal infection and more suggestive of a chronic inflammatory or irritative condition of the glans (balanitis). The temporary improvement with Candid-B cream followed by recurrence after stopping it indicates that the condition is being suppressed rather than resolved.
Such presentations are commonly seen in dry-type balanitis, frictional dermatitis, or mild eczematous changes, where the skin barrier becomes weak and repeatedly sheds. Overuse of topical combinations (especially steroid-containing creams) can further thin and sensitize the skin, leading to a cycle of improvement and relapse. The lack of response to Fluconazole also supports that this is not a purely fungal issue. Overall, this condition appears benign but chronic, requiring correction of local skin health rather than repeated short-term treatments.
Next Steps
The primary goal should be restoring and maintaining the natural skin barrier of the glans. Avoid frequent switching of topical products or self-medication, as this can aggravate sensitivity. Maintain local hygiene using only mild cleansing methods and avoid any harsh soaps, antiseptics, or perfumed products in the genital area. It is important to minimize friction and irritation, including avoiding excessive washing, vigorous rubbing, or prolonged moisture exposure. Since this is a recurrent issue, a structured and individualized approach is necessary to break the cycle of recurrence. Health Tips
Keep the area clean, dry, and well-ventilated, and prefer loose, breathable cotton undergarments. After washing, gently pat dry rather than rubbing. Avoid applying multiple creams or home remedies, as over-treatment can worsen dryness and peeling. Ensure adequate hydration and maintain overall skin health through a balanced routine, as systemic factors like stress and skin sensitivity can influence such conditions. Practicing moderation in hygiene (not excessive cleaning) and avoiding irritants will help the skin regain its natural protective function over time. Thank you
