Parkinson's disease ( PD)
My father was diagnosed and have a doubt of parkinson's disease.A pet scan is done which says moderate decrease in FDG uptake is noted in bilateral corpus striatum, basal ganglia and cerebellum. What does that mean?

FDG can help but if clinically your father has PD start treatment under the supervision of a Neurologist . Yes FDG PET Findings also suggestive of PD but it has role in subclinical state when clinically there is doubt of PD
