Painful swollen area around black circle

Asked for Male, 22 Years

I have a painful red swollen area surrounding two purple/black circles, one darker than the other in my groin area. The swollen area is about the diameter of a quarter and swole up to about 3/10th of an inch outwards from my skin. I have not been sexually active for ~4 years so I assume it cannot be related to that. What could the cause be, and is it a severe issue? No walk-in clinics are open in my area.
