It is likely that the abdominal pain is due to the gall stones you already have. These following lifestyle changes may help:
- Drink a minimum of 3 liters of water per day
- Avoid foods high in cholesterol, refined sugars, beans, onions or bell pepper, fried foods, Food high in saturated fat ie. butter, fatty meats, whole milk, Caffeine as it stimulates gallbladder contractions
- Do not go on a diet and lose weight too quickly. This can stimulate gallbladder attacks.
- Consume food high in fiber, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables, wine(1 to 2 glasses daily can lower the risk), Healthy oils such as Olive oil, fish oils.
- Exercise regularly (minimum 30 mins)
If the pain persists or worsens visit a general surgeon and consider surgery as a choice of treatment.
