Pain in the right lower chest
My wife having a pain for past 5 months while lying aside on the right bottom ribs (the pain feels like something is pressing the ribs from inside) while breathing (inhaling). The pain occurs majorly while lying or after having food (if the stomach is full). We don't know what problem it is and which specialist to consult. We are newly married couple and will it be any problem during pregnancy. kindly advise.

Hi.. Does she have cough? Fever? As she feels the pain while lying down and after having food, it could be mostly due to muscle pain / acidity. Avoid spicy / oily food. Try pain killers for a couple of days. If symptoms persists, get evaluated by a Pulmonologist.

Probably it is best described as gastritis or pleurisy. If pregnancy is not there, go for one chest x ray and consult Pulmonologist.
