Pain in stomach around the belly button

Asked for Male, 14 Years

My son has been having pain in the tummy, around the belly button area - left, right and below. Started yday 18th May evening, as a sharp pain worsened by movement, relieved by passing gas and application of heat. Pain persists intermittently, and is of dull nature. Pls advise. Thank you.

In a child of this age, very often appendicitis may start off as pain around belly button and then move down to the right lower abdomen. It is usually accompanied by fever, sometimes nausea or vomiting. In the case of your son it may be appendicitis or something like indigestion or intestinal worms or infection.
