Pain in joints
Why my mothers body aching ? knees, thigh area, hand fingers joints . It been one week. She massaged before sleeping also but it became more severe after that. Dont know what to do ! Hospitals are risky to go to nowadays, if anything can be done at home ! Any remedy ? Any yoga ? Anything will do.

Avoid Squatting- Avoid sitting Cross legged. Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Yes you can manage upto some level at home 1) Give her gentle massage don’t do massage with pressure on joints and avoid strong massage 2)Give her proper diet which is rich in calcium 3) Give her small meals in break so the chances of pain due to gas will reduce 4)Do some exercises with small exercise ball of rubber or smiley ball for fingers it will give relief in pain 5)Avoid touch and rubbing joints again and again they can increase inflammation 6)Try proper position for sleeping Use thin pillow and don’t press hand below head or pillow 7)correct her posture and maintain her weight if she is overweight 8)Maintain distance from dust and other allergens because they can cause cough and itching to skin , this may lead to increase in pain 9)Apply any pain relief ointment for temporary pain relief 10)You can consult me offline/online We are from same city This advice is not valid for medico legal purposes
