Pain during intercourse

I tried to have sex the other day (my first time) and it hurt extremely bad. i was in tears it hurt so much. imy hymen is broken as i’ve put things in my vagina before but they were much thinner than a penis. I’m not sure if my vagina is too tight. it wouldn’t even fit in all the way. it also felt like he was hitting something inside me.
