Pain after medication of blood clots
I had medical abortion at 6 weeks more than 3 weeks ago. After the bleeding stopped, there was still pain in my pelvic area. I had and USG and found that i had blood clots remaining. The dctr gave me methergine twice for 3 days and Azithromycin twice for 7 days. Its been 6 days and the pain in pelvic area is still there. There was many side effects such as stomach pain fever and vomiting. There hadn't been any more bleeding after taking methergine. The dosage of azithromycin is going to end tomorrow. My next periods are due after 10 days. Should I wait for my periods? What should I do now and what can be the possible problems?

Care AI Shimmer
Pain was due to PID (pelvic inflammatory infection). its is normal to have blood clots in endometrial cavity after abortion. If no irregular bleeding than nothing to worry, blood clots passes with next menstrual cycle and also its normal to have delayed periods for the first time after abortion.
Next Steps
14 days course of antibiotics (doxycycline + metrogyl , cefixime) to treat PID. No relationship while taking the antibiotic course.
Health Tips
Its better to use some contraception to avoid pregnancy for atleast 6 months.
