Pain after many months of surgery

Asked for Male, 24 Years

Sir/ma'am My father had surgery of oral scc buccal mucosa partially mandibulectomy suprahomoid neck dissection and nasolabial flap etc on left side of face exactly 12 months ago. The surgical site is healed completely but when we press very hard with hands on site it pains and on normal touching/ideal sitting/sleeping it never pain. Does this indicates minor cancer Recurrence again on the site or is it normal to pain when press hard with hand? Kindly guide.

Unlikely as some pain on deep palpitations or some alterations in sensation is expected post surgery . Please make sure that you are on regular follow up 3 monthly for first 2 years post surgery . Please attach your post operative report , if you need to know what all test and how frequently you need to do on follow ups . First 2 years follow up are very important.
