Pain after crown fell out

My crown fell out one week ago. then before 2-3 days I started feeling pain in tooth around and gums. Then I again put my crown on my tooth but there is lil pain. What does it means?

If crown is not fitted immediately than the gingiva around the tooth creeps upward i.e gingiva grows and if there is plaque or calculus there might be Gingivitis ( inflammation of gums)...just observe for 2 days ....if problem persists than remake the cap .
