Overdose of azithramycin.
My doctor prescribed Azithral 100 for my 3 years old nephew, but the pharmacist mistakenly given Azithral 200. But according to prescription dose I have given that Azithral 200 5ml. But doctor asked for Azithral 100, 5 ml. Now is there any serious problem can happen for overdose of this antibiotic?

Don’t worry .. for some diseases even four times of usual dose is also given. So nothing to worry. He will not have any side effect.

The maximum dose vary from 500mg to 2gram per day according to various disease . If any symptoms like nausea, vomiting  Or GIT discomfort than concern to paediatrician.
