First thing stop tobacco chewing habit asap. not opening of mouth is because of chronic use of tobacco and continuous irritation on your gums, the tissues on the check region have become more fibrous and hence the opening of your mouth is reduced. it will be best to stop your habits and consult a maxillofacial surgeon, he will advice you best according to the clinic findings. In initial cases it is reversible to some extent with the help of some medications, time duration depends on the extent of involvement of the tissues. Surgery might be needed in extreme cases.
