Oral contraceptives.
Hi, my wife and I had unprotected sex, she was on her 4th day of her periods. She is 25 years old. She took a femilon 21s tablet within 24 hours. She took her pill on her 5th day of her periods, which was the next day after our intercourse. Should she continue taking femilon 21s for the next 21 days or is the one pill she took enough to prevent pregnancy. I also want to know if consumption of alcohol will interfere with this medication and cause any issues. We drink once a month. Please advice, thanks in advance.

Hi, she may continue taking Femilon for 21 days for whole month protection and also to maintain menstrual cycle. Leaving pills halfway may give rise to bleeding intermittently. Once in a month alcohol do not interfer with pills.
