Olive oil and coconut oil are safe to use for a baby as long as they are unscented and clean.
1) Wipe the baby's eye gently with cotton / soft wet wash cloth
2) Do not rub or irrigate the eye excessively
3) Should not be any risk for eyes but watch for redness, swelling, pus formation.
4) If the child is not tracking objects / following objects that he/she usually does
