Oil massage for infants and skin peeling
Hi, is it important to put oil on baby's center of the head to make it strong? If yes then when can I start putting it? Also my baby's dry skin is peeling since her birth and whatever I have read about it says that it's normal and will stop in few weeks. Kindly clear my doubt on this. She is 15 days old and I have started massaging her once in a day with extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil.

Oil in the center / soft spot is a tradition but doesn't have any medical research supporting that. You can use mild baby non-scented soaps for your child along with lotions or creams. Oil massaging in a gentle and safe way to improve bonding. The peeling will stop soon. Ensure you're feeding milk on demand (wither from breast or formula, whichever you normally do) For any queries, kindly book an online consultation with me. A baby massage is great way to bond with your baby. It can even help them grow and develop better. This is also good for your baby’s skin — if you use the right massage oil. You can start.
