rare chance of getting loss of sensation permanently. but its too early to conclude. somertime it takes 6-12 months. Consult with oral surgeon or oraledicine specialist.
Loss of sensation of tongue, lips, side of the jaw is a complication of a lower wisdom tooth extraction since sometimes the nerve surrounding the tooth is in close approximation. Hence, post surgery any of the anatomical structures getting nerve supply from that nerve can lose sensation.
Next Steps
Take Neurobion Forte (Multivitamin) once daily for atleast a few months.
Since the procedure is done 6 months back, i would advise you to get a CBCT done to evaluate the damage and then reach out to a neurophysician.
Health Tips
Avoid eating from that side, you might injure your tongue.
Paraesthesia due to nerve injury while extraction can have occurred. Take:-
Tab Neurobion forte once daily for 14 days
Also consult a physiotherapist for its management in electro-galvanic way
Its very unfortunate that u have this problem since last 6 months, but wisdom tooth removal is rarely associated with these kind of complications, I am sure that ur Dr.might have given u the course of Tab.Neurobion Forte but I am afraid that some people has this nerve damage for permanent (at least years) ,
