Norimin pill during breastfeeding
Hi doctor, I breastfeeding mother and have 1year 5month baby. Last time my period didn't stop, my gynecologist prescribed cerazette taken for 2months but was continuously bleeding, depression, mood swings while on cerazette. This month we shifted to Newzealand. Here GP told cerazette will not work for me so she prescribed norimin contraceptive pill. Is it safe during breastfeeding?will content pass through breast milk? I have almost reduced 18kg from pregnancy till now(75kg during 9th month of pregnancy?) And following healthy diet from last 3years , Completely stopped sugar, sweets, outside food, maida products from last 3years but still facing harmonal imbalance. I don't know still how much weight I need to reduce ☹️☹️ no pcod, fibroids, polyps normal uterus in ultrasound. Thanks in advance

Cerazette is a Progestins only pill. It does work as a contraceptive but it will reduce the amount of vaginal bleeding . So it was more useful for you when you had excessive bleeding for many days. That way Norimin is more useful as a contraceptive and less useful for controlling the bleeding. When you were 75 kg you were definitely overweight . It is a good thing that you lost 18 kg. But you didn't mention your height. You should get your sonography of the lower abdomen done and consult with your Gynaecologist if you are a fit candidate for Intrauterine contraceptive device.
