Hi doctor , my baby is getting motions( like watery) doctor suggest nor metrogyl syrup .he is 9 months old.i am using it from last 4 days .when I am using, motions are stopped.when I stop the syrup again he s getting motions .how can he get rid of this.how many days it will last .how much dosage we want to use for 9 months.and7.4 kgs baby.pls suggest.

If the loose stools are mixed with blood or mucus, child has fever , then antibiotic is needed
If the child is active, stools are just watery, no antibiotic is needed
Only give oral dehydration solution and syrup zinc 5 ml once daily for 10 days
