No pregnancy despite symptoms

Asked for Female, 31 Years

My wife had started experiencing certain symptoms of pregnancy post a week of ovulation. Soreness of breasts, high sensitivity to smell, mild cramps in lower stomach region. The symptoms persisted for 7-10 days but faded out gradually post that. Then her periods started. How do we interpret this?
