Asked for Female, 50 Years

I am a 50 year old female. I have been taking 20mg of methotrexate weekly injection for rheumatoid arthritis for around 8 years. I had my last period in April 2013. I have had regular smear tests and blood tests and all is well. I am now in a relationship and wondered whether i need to use contraception or am I not at risk of getting pregnant anymore ?

Get done FSH level.If it is above 40 IU then no need of any contraceptive pill.First get it done .High FSH level indicates that you have attained the menopause and have to take care of menopausal symptoms.
