NIPT ask by docotr
My age is 34 currently. I have one daughter 2.7 years ago without any complications then I conceived again last year but the fetus had trisomy21. Then, gynae gave me a few medicines after my abortion I have conceived again. I am in my 14th week. I had my scan in which nt came 1.3 mm and DMT also came fine. But, still she is suggesting NIPT. I am not able to understand what I do and why she is suggesting this as it also provides risk assessment not true or false results.

In previous pregnancy you had a history of trisomy 21 .So it's really important to do NIPT for recent pregnancy to be sure for your baby so they you don't have to suffer again. So follow your gynac whatever she suggests. This is for you and you baby.
