Hi...the pain in the nipple while feeding could be because of a small cut in the nipple that is caused during breast feeding...u need to visit ur obstetrician who will suggest u a nipcare ointment that u need to apply on the nipples every time after feeding and wipe if before feeding the next time.
If you find lumps on breast self examination or if there is a discharge - yellowish mucoid discharge then consult your gynaecologist immediately.
If not, this is common during breast feeding. It is very important to keep the area well lubricated.
Breast massage for 5 minutes everyday with warm coconut oil followed by a warm water bath - this will effectively releive your pain.
