Hi,
My baby is 6 days old and 2 days ago we found out that he has jaundice, His bilirubin was 12.5, doc asked us to keep him under phototherapy for 24 hours, his bilirubin is 10.5 now. Doc prescribed Liv52 and gardenal syrup. But baby is constantly sleeping since we gave him medicine, not even crying for milk. Is it normal ? Also he is a premature baby born at 34th week. Please hell

I would advise you to stop gardenal and liv52, gardenal causes symptoms of drowsiness and a dull looking baby. . The level of 10.5 is normal for a newborn even if he is premature. Just feed him properly, and get the jaundice tested again in 48 hours. If the level remains same or goes down then nothing to worry.
