Pediatrician told me that baby is okay now, after 2 weeks of observation without taking blood test. But we still had a doubt on jaundice whether it is cured or not? How we get to know whether the jaundice cured or not? Can any one advise on this?

Hi..most of the new born babies have some jaundice , this we call physiological jaundice ...generally we do a blood test once around 3-4days after birth to record the level.. Also we look at other risk factors... Now baby is 24 days now... So you can show your Pediatrician and then discuss with him to see if there is any yellow discoloration of skin or eyes ... Pls do a simple blood test to check Bilirubin level if in doubt... Usually it takes 1 month for the jaundice to come down to normal range ...
