New born baby platelet

Asked for Male, 1 Years

My sister gave birth to a new born baby day before yesterday, during delivery time the ambical cord get stuck around his neck and due to that he had some breathing issue so doctors kept him in box and inserted oxygen pipe,doctor is saying that due to some blood infection his platelet count is 55,000 please suggest.....
