Neuro Endocrine Tumour (Rectal Colon)
I have finished 25 quarters of Chemo Radiation (Proton radiation with Capacitabine tablets). I have also finished 4 Chemo Cycles of Carboplatin and Etoposide. My CEA level has come down from 25 to 1.5. My question is my ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) is constant at 40. Why is it not decreasing?

ESR should not be a problem, it will come down. However more worrisome is to look for the response to tumor on radiology and treat the residual tumor if any.

Not to worry for ESR status. It's not more significant right now.
