  3. Needle tip left in hand. To get it out?

Hi, I had an operation a month ago and my hand hurt alot when nurse took out my needle in my hand. I am now left with a lump which I can move around so think the tip has been left in my hand? What will happen to me? I'm due to have another operation in 3 weeks time is that too late to get it out ?
