I'm having stiff neck pain from the past 1 month. The pain starts from back of the skull and it moves down shoulders to sides of lower back. going through medication as per the orthopedic specialist but no improvement is seen. Only temporary relief. Please advise what would be the cause and how to overcome or whome should I consult .

Commonest cause of your symptoms is wrong posture followed with cervical spondylosis changes, resulting in vertigo dizziness pain etc.
Second commonest cause may be minnerre disease. Maintain correct posture while sitting or doing work. Learn cervical spondylosis excercises from nearby physiotherapist , which will help you in longer run. For further queries and treatment connect directly through paid Practo consultation.

Neck stiffness may be due to cervical spondlysis, wrong sitting posture, some trauma or jerk on neck,.. for this a complete medical history is required.. x ray of neck should be done..
Neck stiffness could be due to multiple causes like faulty posture, some trauma or jerk to the neck, cervical spondylosis etc. We need to take detail history and may be an x ray to find out exact cause.
