First I need to know what meds are your father on ?
Secondly kindly request you to perform PPBS , Ur , Cr to estimate the glomerular filtration rate ...so as to estimate whether there is any chronic kidney disease or not.
Moreover based on eGFR some medications can be given and some need to be stopped ...so creatinine is a must
Secondly need to know your father's BMI
After all these medications can be prescribed
