Need suggestion for miscarriage treatmen

Urgent!!! Hello, I need your valuable inputs. My cousin is living in Australia, she had her early pregnancy USG at 5 weeks, gestational age was 5.3 weeks during the scan but fetel pole was not visible. They scheduled follow up scan at 8 weeks, in that USG report they said she had miscarriage at 6th week and only ruptured sac is present. Doctor advised to wait for a week and see whether she is getting periods. She didn't get, but her hcg level dropped. Again they scheduled appointment and gave 3 options. 1) Since it was miscarriage at 6th week, we can wait couple of weeks for periods (it means natural discharge) 2) Medication (tablets) 3) D&C method. Her midwife advised to keep D&C as last option. Should she wait for couple of weeks or should she opt for immediate solution?
