Need advice regarding tooth pain

Asked for Female, 29 Years

Hi sir/madam, I consulted dentist after getting pain in the teeth and some pain near ear for many days when hot beverages and foods are taken. As shown in the scan, last tooth in the scan has deep canal amd the dentist clearly explained me it's touching the nerve and thus aggravating the pain. He suggested RCT and putting a cap. Please check the scan and suggest if it's indeed the only way.

Hi. The Xray clearly a proximal decay/caries involving the nerves which is causing infection in the apical region. RCT followed by a crown is the right thing to do. Hope it helps. Cheers
