The first question is do you really need LASIK? It is not a matter of affordability or insurance cover, what needs to be answered is why do you need it at all? The indications for surgery are a lot different from the general public's opinion and idea about the surgery. It is an irreversible procedure with its due share of complications (as with every surgical procedure). Never take up a surgery as an option until it is really needed, and certainly never for cosmetic purposes or peer pressure (trust me on this one when I say this).. Please take an unbiased opinion from all doctors around and then think about it. Delaying the surgery for a few days won't matter much but backtracking after it has been done is impossible.
