Neckpainbilateral shoulder&upperbackpain
I had sudden onset of pain over the trapezius and teres muscle area. At the time of onset, the pain felt like a shock running along both my shoulders. I felt like my muscles were spasming. So, I consulted an orthopedic doctor. Finally he suggested an mri which was normal. I don't feel spasms anymore..but pain has persisted in that area. Its been more than 2 months now. I visited a physiotherapy who gave me strengthening exercises. I have a ceragem machine at home, so I have massage once a day. I have free range of movements. But the pain is there, and I have fear that the feeling of my muscles spasming will return. I do hot fomentation and ice alternately. What shall I do for the pain to go away for good? I am a student so I need to read and i have to bend for that.

You should do neck stretching and strengthening exercises with guidance. You should avoid prolonged neck bending activities. While studying or working on gadgets you should keep them in your eyesight level. You can do neck stretching and scapular stretching exercises thrice a day for 3 repetitions.

I would prefer examination as it's difficult to ascertain the cause. If u are doing work from home--plz follow the tips that are published on my FB page. You can try local ointment and hot fomentation. Don't take too many pain killers. If things are subsiding plz come for examination.

Need proper evaluation of problem with proper assessment. There can be different reasons of the pain.bur seems like postural issue. Use pain'relieving gel like volini gel or diclofenac gel. Use hot water fermentation with trapezius stretch 10 rep with hold counting 20. After exs again apply hot water fermentation. You need postural correcting exs.

Stop doing massage. To use cervical soft coller except sleeping and eating ×2wks. After 2wks isometric neck exercise ×3wks.
