Neck pain on left side of neck.
I have a pain in the left side of my neck. It hurts when I apply pressure directly on the carotid artery and hurts when I turn my head to the right. If i keep my head straight there is no issue. Same result if i turn head to the left. Only pain when head is turned to the right and if I swallow when head is turned to the right.

Hello..There could be many reasons for pain in the neck. It could be as simple as a muscle spasm or a sprain. Muscle spasm or sprain will subside within 2 to 3 days.
Next Steps
Check for any swelling. Applying hot bags, pain balms etc will releive any spasm or sprain.  If pain is aggravating or radiating to your hands, Xray or MRI will be needed to find out the cause.
Health Tips
Apply hot bags. Sleep with your head resting on a low pillow. Do neck rotation at slow pace.
