I am experiencing neck pain for few weeks now. The strain in my neck is more when I try to lie down and sleep. And when I get up from bed at times I feel a little dizzy. And through the day I have some strain in my neck and it's making me uncomfortable. What type of pillow should I try? And does sleeping on the floor make things any better?

Hi, for neck pain, give hot fomentation in your spinal area, top to bottom, with more concentration behind shoulders, shoulder blades and back of neck. Watch your posture and work on it through exercises. Long sitting hours of work with neck bent down, like stitching or computer may also cause this. A combination of approaches will help you. Lying on floor with legs raised to chair height will help you. No/hard and bulky pillow will cause more problem.
If it still persists after all these efforts, then you must visit an orthopedic for further evaluation.
