I can understand your concern.
Depends.
If you are using a condom and if it doesn't break, then you don't need emergency contraception.
But if the condom breaks, then you might need it.
Also, if your partner is in safe period of her cycle, then the chances of pregnancy are anyways less.
Also, condom itself is a contraceptive.
