Hi, my father has recently been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome RAEB-I. The only
symptoms he had was bleeding due to ulcers which gave a sign of dip in platelets. The first diagnosis was thought to be ITP & treatment was given. But later it was told to be MDS. Please help in how can the same be treated. Plat 4000, WBC - 5.8 but fluctuating. Haemoglobin - 10-11.
