My son swallowed a piece of his tooth
My son aged 3 years swallowed a piece of his broken tooth accidentally while having food. Is it a cause of concern? Currently he is not experiencing any symptoms. Should I consult doctor immediately? Please advice.

Hello Swallowing a baby tooth or a small piece of tooth is common in toddlers and usually harmless. In most cases, it passes through the digestive tract naturally within 2–4 days. No need to give laxatives or induce vomiting. No need for X-ray unless the tooth was sharp, metallic, or the child becomes symptomatic.
Next Steps
I would suggest a pediatric dental visit to assess if it was a milk tooth fracture, dental caries-related break, or trauma - Important to ensure no tooth fragments are left in the gum that may cause future issues.
Health Tips
Watch for: Abdominal pain or bloating, Vomiting, Constipation or failure to pass stools, Blood in stools, Persistent fever or refusal to eat If none of these symptoms occur, no medical intervention is needed.
